After Inception, Cobb didn't have as much time as he had expected to have.
The day usually started off with making breakfast and packing lunch. Breakfast would be simple-eggs and toast. Lunch, a ham and cheese sandwich with lettuce and tomatoes. The sandwiches would go in the Transformers and Barbie lunch box, respectively. Pudding, cheese sticks, and maybe an apple or orange would go with them.
After dropping the kids off at schools, there would be cleaning the house-sweeping the porch and backyard, arranging the beds, and wiping the floors and counters. When finished, the kids would be picked up and they would do their homework, often asking for help (except for James, wanting to be a man, saying, "No, daddy, I don't need help!" Of course, Phillipa would scoff and roll her eyes but remind quiet). Then dinner and games and movies and they would sleep.
Sleep-Time, as he like to dub it, was the best time of the day for them all. Phillipa more often that not ended up under his covers in his own room across the hall and James would begrudgingly tuck in as well. All the work with placing his kids under their own covers and kissing their heads good-night would go to waste but as he closed his eyes, Cobb would hear a soft, "Good night, daddy" and a drowsy, "Good night, dad." In those moments, anything could have happened just hours before but the feeling of love and home would always be there as he fell asleep.
