The Tinkerer’s Tale (or a Tailor’s Tink)

This is what I did for the better part of my birthday. Now I just have to decide if I’m going to publish the story that goes with it, or save it for the big bumper compendium LinkTales volume Two, as originally planned. I just feel as if I haven’t put out enough stuff this year, which is peculiar, because I actually worked on a great deal of fiction over the last two years that was meant to be finished and published this year. Making me feel a bit stale.

I watched the Doctor Who Christmas episode. I liked it. A lot. Don’t judge me.

I also tinkered briefly with the last edit of a story we’re sending to the paper. We’ll see how that goes over.

Yesterday’s ‘sales’ of Never Apologize were pretty impressive, given the story has only been published for one day. 34 copies were downloaded, which isn’t a lot, but it’s nice to feel that I’m getting somewhere, even if it made me absolutely no money (the book is still available for FREE HERE). The number of people who looked at it without DLing is also pretty impressive; something in the order of 250 page views. That puts me at a ratio of about 9:1. Not the best odds I’ve had, but not the worst, either.

Anyway, I’m going to order some pizza, drink some scotch, and finish celebrating my birthday in the traditional manner: quietly, in my little apartment in Limbo.

Season’s Greetings.

Lee.
