A bunch of HP fests are starting on May 1. See
here for more detail: 1 new fest open for prompting, 5 fests open for claiming, and 2 prompt challenges starting.
Completely unrelated to HP, ANN has posted an
article on the designer chairs that are featuring on the covers of Spy x Family the manga. It's quite a fun read.
Also read this
article on Sakuga Blog detailing the circumstances behind the creation of the anime film adaptation of Pompo the Cinephile. I haven't watched Pompo yet, but I intend to.
Came across a Criterion
article on 'Round Midnight, a 1986 film about jazz musicians directed by Bertrand Tavernier and starred Dexter Gordon.
Toyama Keiichiro, the creator of the original Silent Hill game and Siren, had a one-on-one conversation with Mikami Shinji, who directed the first Resident Evil game. It's quite an illuminating conversation about creating horror games, and more specifically about what went into the design and mechanics of the first Resident Evil game. You can watch the video with English subtitle on
youtube.
(Ah, Sweet Home, the famous horror game that will never get a remake.)
