The season of pumpkins is here, which means it's time to bring out the skeleton in the closet, the ghost in the well, and the ghoul in the attic.
Shirley Jackson's The Haunting of Hill House is a classic haunted house story, and it's getting a TV adaptation next month. The TV series itself will be a modern reimagining of the novel. Here is the
trailer, and it's looking good. The series will be available on Netflix on Oct 12th. (And I'm adding the book onto my reading list.)
Back in July, someone ran the
Gothic Novel Jam on itch.io. The goal was to create something inspired by the Gothic novel genre and share it with everyone. There are games, interactive fiction, artwork, poetry, audiobook etc.
(An aside: Been doing writing exercises. I do want to post something -- not the writing exercises -- next month. Also, hp_halloween is happening soon.)
