In Celebration of the Dead

Sep 24, 2015 09:25

Guillermo del Toro's Gothic horror film Crimson Peak will be in theatres next month, and BlackPhoenix Alchemy Lab will be releasing a Crimson Peak fragrance collection to celebrate the occasion. I always check the BPAL website around this time of the year. Reading the descriptions of their Hallowe'en fragrance collection is enough to set me in the mood for the upcoming festivity.

An unrelated aside: Siouxsie Sioux & Brian Reitzell's "Love Crime" is a beautiful song.

E.T.A.: There are two first-person horror games getting the Kickstarter treatment this month, and both games are billed as psychological horror: Gray Dawn and Allison Road. It's probably not a coincidence that Silent Hill and Resident Evil are mentioned as inspirations for these two crowdfunding games.

silver screen - film, remote control - game, gothic delight, treble clef - music
