Rub your eyes in disbelief

Yes it's nearly been a year since I joined LJ so I thought in honour of the occasion I would fill you in on a little of what's been going on at the bah.

We loved seeing you folk that made the trip up north for New Year and I will always have fond memories of us congregated around the table on AA&J’s verandah and some vague, hazy ones of NYE and New Years Day. It was also really cool to have the opportunity to get to know whiskertickle. It felt great to have a percentage of the Karny Krew up here and all together and seemed that’s the way it should be always! (Look into my eyes….move up north….not around the eyes….move up north). I was kinda sad to see you go, especially my bestest buddy, Ville_lady.

Read a few of your most recent entries. J, loved the Marrickville pic. It was good to hear you are enjoying Sydney and being with the one you love. We are looking forward to seeing you and meeting her properly one day, sans Adam & the Ants makeup. Ville_lady, I know how you feel as you suffer the massive Sundaynightitis that is the back to school blues...I hope you are enjoying your last few days of freedom! Miss you.

Moving up here was right for us though, and this was again confirmed by the way we celebrated Australia Day (also a year to the day whistertickle and mr g of e met!). Started out with meeting AA&J in Tyalgum with the kiddles riding their bikes in the parade down the main street which was extremely cute if a bit hot. We opted to skip the Australia vs India cricket game at the Tyalgum oval as it just didn’t seem quite right (for a few reasons), so set off for the famous swimming hole nearby. It was a beautiful place, with the water just the right temperature for us to stay in for nearly 2 hours - our kids should have been born with gills and insisted on swimming the whole time we were there. Finished our last beers while sitting in the creek and headed back to AA&J’s for a bbq and much wine. Those guys really know how to enjoy and appreciate life and each time we see them (which thank god is often) we come away feeling completely chilled and that all is good in the world.

So biiiiggg squishy love to you all until next time and I promise I will try to be more of a wregular wriggly writer. (I will take this opportunity to use the excuse of a crapola computer that loves to shut down quite regularly - I had to type this in Word to keep it safe!).

XOXO
