I can't believe I'm here!

Well, I have been here a couple of days now. I am still all messed up with the time difference. It is a different world over here. So much anger, so much worry, so much uncertainty. I don't know how people can live this way. Hopefully times will change and people will learn to live together in peace. I don't see that happening soon though. I am working with the Israeli Army as a volunteer. Because I have certain skills, they make use of them. Lucky me! Ha ha Later this morning I head out by train about 40 miles to the north of Tel Aviv.

The internet sucks here. Lol Give me my DSL back!!!! I got my first email here. It wasn't what I expected, but it did give me reason to think. A lot of reason. I have so many new thoughts running through my head now. I do need to focus on why I am here. My safety and the safety of others depends on it.

I hope to send back some pictures sometime soon. Every day is a new adventure in a new and different world. I am a bit scared, but there are so many people here for support it's comforting. It's like everyone is family here. More to come.

Love,
Lee Michael
