Who turned out the lights?
Okay, so one of the things that I fear the most at work just happened... I was in our 2nd building working on some equipment: then SPARK, SNAP, BLAM, ZOOOM!!!! Power just completely went out. for 5 whole minutes I was in the dark feeling my way around hoping to find a cabinet with a flashlight. This building is divided into 3 sections and it's way bigger than a walmart, just so you get an idea of what I was dealing with. I was yelling for help, hoping my co-worker would hear me. But nope.. .nothing. Finally after 5 minutes the lights flickered back on, just enough time for me to run outside, then ZOOM!! back out. I ran to my truck for a flashlight, and headed to the Power room. Okay, I was scared as all heck. Then a COP showed up because they got the report of our building losing power. We're a prime target for Terrorist threat, so they dispatched in a quick hurry.
Turns out, power went out around the block, and our backups failed to come up and that was all the snap and blam stuff. But the emergency lights should have come on. But nope, it didn't. And i was left in the dark yelling like a lil baby. But I'm glad it wasn't really serious. whew!! I'm still shaken a bit. Thank God it was just the one building and not all three. Well, I must go now. But i hope you enjoyed this scary story, because i didn't.
