AWA and Atlanta Pride Parade

Apparently I've gone 2/2 cons in forgetting to enter Roxas in the costume contest. Or, more specifically, I just stopped caring once I saw the line at AWA and realized I needed a color printed copy turnaround of the character's costume. Trying to have fun, I just didn't want to do it anymore. I made the coat on a whim, on an attempt for progress, and I achieved that. I'll wear it more in the winter when I'm not dying of a heat stroke, even in the air conditioning.

AWA wasn't as fun as Dragon*Con. I feel like I'm getting too old for most of the anime shenanigans that I used to adore. And the more I grow away from anime, the more I feel confused in the Dealer's Room looking at figures from an obscure anime I don't recognize. But that's not to say I didn't get a good haul. With enough space in my new apartment, I'm starting my Asuka collection up again, so I bought a new figure from Evangelion 2.0. And then I bought a Socks Cat purse because I was tired of wearing the same purse for a year... and I needed a good lolita looking purse.

I've also decided to walk in this year's Atlanta Pride Parade as a lolita. I even got a little bit of cash together and purchased a new Bodyline Alice skirt in black. It's so adorable! I don't care if it's brand or not... I have a Baby skirt, and chances are I'll love this Bodyline just as much.

Can't wait until I receive it and start putting coordinates together!
