Most of the books I've read about Earth agree with you on that. It seems like a snowy Christmas is the most traditional image of the holiday in most places. And I can't say I have any complaints about getting to stay inside either, not as long as you have good company to enjoy the weather with.

We're known as "the source of the winds" because of it, and because of our Valkynes Criath that helps disperse the arles - our planet's life source - throughout the country. Our Criath is the Wind Criath. That's why the country is so full of greenery.
