Hospital time!

So i got home from work yesterday and dropped to bed. Hoping to get a nap because yucky stuff green had begun to run through my sinuses/nose. And unfortunately for me, while I was sleeping, into my ears. I woke with a terrible earache and a fever. I took a hot shower with the hopes that it would ease the pressure. I was very wrong.

With much ado I drove myself down to the hospital and got admitted relatively quickly. The doctor was nice . . . he kept stroking my upper arms in a conforting way. This would not have raised suspicion if he was 90. But no, he was our age and the red flags went up when he told me to keep my ear dry . . . while staring at my chest. He did a through exam and told me what medicine he was going to give and how to take it. I did in fact have a ear infection so bad that it split my eardrum. The ear drum will heal naturally but he gave me antibiotic drops to put in it to help keep it free of infection. I guess when I showered it did shift the pressure in my head, but it sent it towards the drum which gave under the pressure. Ew. There was snotty watery stuff running out of my ear which I really didn't notice with the pain. Anyway . . .

I got off the table and bent over to get my purse, at which point he ran his hand down my back from the nape of my neck to my butt and told me he hoped I felt better. If I hadn't been so bleary I would have mentioned something, given him my number ;) said thanks for the grope, something. But alas I was not up to par and simply thanked him for everything and took the perscriptions. The nurse came in and gave me a ridiculous shot of motrin in my butt/hip area and sent me on my way.

I came home, took my meds like a good girl and went back to bed.

Thus ends the saga of the gropy doctor on the isle of earache.

Tune in next week when I tell you the tale of the brake pad change on the peninsula of broke

*kisses*

FYI I feel much better now my ear is still stuffed up and it sounds like people are incects when they talk on that side (buzzing watery . . . like Mantenna from She ra). And I get dizzy very easily. But 800 mg of Motrin keeps me feeling pain free ^_^
