Even if I said it was Tesla VS Oprah you'd find a way to still spite me and say Oprah is better.

Putting Oprah above ANYONE as the greatest American is a joke. Nothing against her personally, but I prefer to read the shitty books she recommends with FUCKING LIGHT BULBS.

She's done more than recommend books.

And what do you have against her getting people to read? I've read a few books that she has recommended. To be fair, I didn't read them because they were recommended by Oprah, I was going to read them anyway. It's not like she's endorsing shit books, either.

I have nothing against her getting people to read, but ANYONE can recommend a book, doesn't make them worthy of praise. If Bill O'Reily started a book club would you say he was doing something special?

I'm not debating the fact that she's done things with her life. She built herself a little cult...er empire for herself. And that's cool and all. what I am saying is to rank someone who's claim to fame is a talk show, against people who A, Helped found this country, and B people who invented things to make civilized life possible.
If this entry had been Tesla vs Sally Jessie Raphael you wouldn't have dick to say about it. Because it's ridiculous. Just because she is beloved doesn't make it less ridiculous.
