PC Shopping Pt.1 Advice please.....

I am looking to replace my old faithful in for a newer PC. I'm looking to Alienware. Is this a good idea? Not to familiar with them as far as non gamming goes.

IMO, Alienware is overpriced. If you want a pretty case and a cool system, build your own.

What are you wanting to do with your rig? and How much are you willing to spend?

1 Gamming
2 Home use
3 Some business.

1000. Any higher I'll have to look to payments.

Good price range. you can get a decent system for that. DO you already have a computer that has windows XP on it?

That is, of course, if you are more interested in security and not having spyware hijack your system than you are in playing games. If playing games is more important, take Rich's advice and have one built or build it yourself.
Fuck Dell, and fuck Alienware.
