He looked straight at me as he sing,
"I will never let you fall ...I'll stand up with you forever ...I'll be there for you through it all ...Even if saving you sends me to heaven ..."
It was the first time he sang with such appearance. Kitang-kita na pagod na siya. But for me, pinilit niya ang sarili niya at kumanta.
Kahit na hindi na niya kayang mag-gitara at hirap na din siyang magsalita, he still stood there with the same old smile he always used to have.
That's Al for you.
Kumbaga, ikaw muna bago sarili niya.
Now, I can tell, bago ko pa man aminin ...mahal ko talaga siya.
As we lie on the ground, ramdam ko ang lahat--his heavy breathing, the warmth radiating from his face due to his fever and the way he held my hands gently.
I closed my eyes at hinigpitan ang hawak ko sa kamay niya.
And then, everything just stopped.
