College, ch. 3

Well, I'm here. I have officially moved out of my parent's house. Got my internet installed today, classes start monday. Assuming I stay in.

There was a 'readiness test' to allow people into calculus. Having passed algebra 2, trig and applied calculus, I didn't ever consider getting in would be an issue. Apparently at this school, they test you just to be sure. I haven't touched math in my six years in the real world, so I spent my last two internet-less days studying algebra and trigonometry. I took the test this morning. I don't know how well I did. I just want to take my classes. My parents received my MGI Bill paperwork today though, so it looks like I will be getting paid.

The internet is it's own oddity. Usually, phone lines and cable lines are on some wall out of the way. The cable in this apartment?

On the kitchen island.

How the *hell* am I supposed to put an entertainment center on a 3 foot wide wall?

I've got the cable strung across the room at the moment. The cable guy grimaced when he saw it, and made me a ten foot cord to try and compensate. I'm thinking of getting some of those office style cable protectors for running cords on the floor and making a mess of my apartment to get back at the managers for their horrible planning. Though I'm still in possession of cable running tools and a drywall saw.

I wanted my computer desk in my room damnit, not next to the breakfast table. Though if I don't get this calculus class, I won't be able to afford anything for the front room anyway.
