pure poetry
i went to borders today. and i saw this old couple, in their 70s around, sit down at the cafe there and they had just bought a book. and they said this to each other:
old man: you sure you don't want anything to drink?
old woman: no, i don't feel like it.
then after that short exchange, something really awesome happened. they took out the book they just bought, and it was a book of jokes. then he opened it and read the first joke to her. they laughed. then he handed the book to her and she read the next joke to him. they laughed again. and they kept on going back and forth with the book and telling each other the next joke. and that's how they spent their morning.
isn't that beautiful?
