The effects of alcohol

I think before anything, I need to thank God and the heavens that all the people I've gone drinking with thus far can actually hold their liquor. Even if they can't, they know when to stop and thus, I have been spared the unsightly scene of watching my friends get drunk and doing stupid embarrassing things. But today, it was different. It was the dad's birthday so he invited his friend and his wife to join us for dinner. That was when things started going downhill. As with birthdays, there will be alcohol. So being caucasian, W (as we shall refer to the wife from now on), got served more wine than the rest of us because ang mohs are supposed to be able to drink more right? It began with her trying to sing birthday songs in Cantonese with the restaurant manager. Do take note that while all this was happening, I happened to be in between them because I was sitting beside W and the manager was beside me. THEN, all of a sudden, she decided she needed to stand up and sing, and told the manager, "You know you want to touch me". At this point, I felt so traumatised and disgusted that I left. But what really irked me was, her husband was there and so were my parents, but they did nothing about it. Which drives home the point that when you get drunk and start doing stupid things, people just let you go ahead with it. No one will actually tell you that you're drunk and stop you. Even if you're married to them. So, thank you friends for staying (or for trying to) stay sober in my presence, saving me from all this discomfort. Also, thanks for bearing with me and telling me that I'm drunk when I drink too much. I love you all.
