so i got an A in criminal justice, A in chinese, B in sociology.. and i will probably get a C in science, but the final is monday so i won't know till then.
i am pretty much ecstatic right now. i was so scared i wasn't going to be able to pull myself back up after last year. i'm even more excited because none of these classes were english or german, aka the easy A i could always count on even when i screwed everything else up. i had to work so hard for all of those classes.
also, just for those who don't know, this summer i changed my major from english to sociology (concentration in medical sociology) and i am sooo so so happy that i did. i don't regret it one bit. i had no interest in english/literature at all, i was just good at it so i went with it. it only occurred to me this year how much more interesting and infinitely more useful sociology actually is. i am still vaguely toying with the idea of minoring in german but the last class i took, where 99% of my classmates were 99% fluent, was discouraging to the point where i don't know if i would really be able to succeed in that anymore.
tonight i will celebrate with the L word and the first season of arrested development (at the recommendation of, like, the entire world), and then this weekend i am house/dogsitting for my parents so everybody is going to come over and life will be good, etc.
