Why do people think of things they are compelled to do during the most inconvenient times? More often than not people think of doing something while they're actually doing something else, for example while taking a shower, making it impossible to act upon that thought right away. Well that's what happened to me today. In the shower (not so overshare, is it?) I decided that I wanted to start writing again. And an hour or so later, here I am typing away.

Hello livejournal, I'm back. I know I've neglected you far too much since the year started but here I am. Hopefully I will make up for lost time. My Twitter and Tumblr (although I love so much) sucked up all my writing energy. They were just so... easy and convenient. But I shall not forget my first love, Livejournal. Give me time to get back in the swing of things, okay? It's not like I have anything interesting to talk about right now anyway.

So much has happened since I last wrote here, such as my internship in Belgium and my epic epic Eurotrip which is easily the highlight of my year. But maybe I'll save the stories for later :) And of course, I finally graduated from university as well! So bittersweet, that was. Fast forward to three months later though, and here I am broke and unemployed, lol. It's sad really, but then this is primarily my choice anyway. And it is also due to the fact that I have not seen a job I really see myself doing everyday. As you can see, I haven't changed much. I'm still as fickle as can be. Also, I hate the whole process of "job hunting". Blah. However, I am due to take the civil service exam next month (can you believe it's September already?) so I'm basically just waiting on that. I need to qualify for government employment so I can apply for a job at the Department of Foreign Affairs. That has been my personal target since forever, so I will hopefully follow through on that. Have a few options after that too, but that's another story. Let's just take it one step at a time, shall we?

Wow, my LJ needs a makeover. Here's to hoping I still remember my CSS and HTML.

life, random
