Recently, my dad had my bedroom renovated. At first I was a bit hesitant since it meant that I had to camp out in my parents' bedroom for a while and I have big issues with personal space and lack thereof. But since the walls and the ceiling were already peeling and cracking, I decided to just suck it up and go through it. And since it is the new year, I think my room needed a face lift anyway. I had my walls and closets repainted and now the color combination is now light blue and white instead of mint green and hot pink with sky mural painted on my ceiling. I guess now my room looks more fitting for my age although I will miss my faux sky.
Next project is to have the lighting fixtures fixed and then I'll deal with the decorations next. We'll still waiting for the paint to completely dry then I'll have my room back! I can't wait. I'm planning on putting up a lot of pictures on my wall so I've been searching for pictures of family and friends to have printed. I think I'll also put up a vision board so that I'll always have a constant reminder of the things I work so hard to achieve every day I wake up :) I've also started getting rid of excess junk in my room like old magazines. I get very attached to things so it's hard for me throw away anything but I realize that it had to be done. My room isn't exactly big and I want to free up the little space I have. I'll have to tackle my old notebooks and my closet next. Oh dear God help me. This is going to take up so much of my time.
Maybe I'll post pictures of my "new" room once I have had it all sorted out.
