Wow, I've really had an exhausting week, including the weekend. We had a whole day trip to Fort Bonifacio (Naval station) for our ROTC finals. It was a hilariously fun and educational trip; we even got to shoot m16 rifles! It was awesome. I even got to hit a bull's eye and take two bullet shells home. I would have taken more home if someone didn't joke around about it being prohibited. T_T I'll be uploading our photos soon. Sunday we had a field trip to Corregidor for POLISCI. Wow. So much artillery in two days @_@. I really learned a lot over the course of my MS-1 in ROTC this term and I definitely can't wait to see my batchmates again for the competition in the third term. It's strange really, how we made such good friends with each other without even having to know each other's first names or nicknames well enough. All we knew is that we were laughing, sweating, running, and shouting together. Call it strange but I thought it was a lot more than just marching around in uniform, snappy drills, or even the wonderful camaraderie that came with all of it. Maybe I will talk about it another time when I don't have too much irrelevant side-things to say. All that along with the Corregidor trip yesterday gave me a different perspective on things and a newfound appreciation for what took place many years ago and all the people involved. My prof was right in saying that most in our generation no longer understand and care about the value of "liberty"; what it stands for and who gave their lives to defend it. It was a wonderful historical landmark, yet it was truly a lot more than that. I'll expound on that another time as well. Oh, and my friend even got a spooky praying or hara-kiri performing ghostly thingy in one of her photos. Kick ass.
With all the excitement came an equal amount of energy consumption - in short, I'm beat. I had so much of work to do over the weekend and I only had friday night to do around 40% of everything. The other 60% is now floating along with another heapload of work assigned today for the week. This is indeed the most hectic week we'll be having. I find it funny that I have 4 papers due this week, and three of which are from the same class. Plus our finals will be starting next week. gah. T_T
The two days we had off (due to the SK election registrations and the storm) did not do well for our MWF academic time table. We're really cramming now and it's not nice. Haha! I'm really exhausted now. I could barely get myself to school this morning and continue with the unfinished work. I'm guessing this is only the beginning. >_> Oh wells. I'm really set on getting everything done, so yeah. I do hope it'll all be fine and we can resume classes with a regular schedule next term. Blehblehbleh.
