The End of an Era

As an undisciplined failure at life who apparently made a fool of myself at an important schmoozing dinner, I have made a momentous decision: not to post what I wrote about what I was told last night.

As a matter of fact, I have a better solution for this problem.

Welcome to the last public post, the last flist only post, the last private post on LECHATONBLANC. She's been good to me, but now she's being used against me.

And frankly, not cool.

I'll still be blogging/ljing/writing. Hopefully people will pay me to do so.

I think I'm cool and accomplished. Sure, I'm a work in progress, sure, I do make mistakes. I even occassionally make glaring social gaffes.

But I am myself. Uncensored. Unedited. I am real. I will not sublimate myself for anything. I am worth more than that.

If being undisciplined is my greatest sin, so be it.

So fucking be it.

Farewell. It's been a pleasure. For those of you who aren't judgemental drama queens, I will inform you of the new journal, once it is up and running.

Because it bears repeating, here's Ani's advice for life:

"Smile pretty and watch your back."

Thanks for all the laughs, the smiles, the good times. Thanks for the posts that made me laugh, and for the posts that made me cry.
