Holy Batman Side Effects!

Either the fancy antibiotic or the fancy allergy drug promised as a fun sun effect, "Vivid/Scary" dreams. They were not joking. My dream was technicolor, with textures, featuring people I knew, places I knew, tactile experiences I knew. It was posh dreaming!

[dream]

So I am/am with this hard boiled cop (he/me has a black fedora!), protecting this pretty young thing (he looked a bit like you, cowperthwait, but shorter) wearing a very sharp, expensive suit, from some mafia syndicate.

Driving the unmarked car -- through oh so real, traffic -- even though it feels like a city, or like it ought to be, at one point we turn from Walnut onto Kirkood (a right turn) after the Trojan Horse.

We had a run in with Tara, a UW Madison girl who studied in Aix with me and the gang, who was irrepressible, fun, and dynamic (and also Asian!). She was animatedly telling us about an Asian Student Association event that we should go to beause of the free dinner (we had been discussing dinner options). I was telling her we had bought a bunch of groceries, but that yes, someone else had already mentioned the event. We weren't sure we could go (what with protecting the pretty young thing, you know, and all that jazz).

[dream end]

Unfortunately, such an excellent story was interrupted by a very localized (under my bed) cat fight. It was so miserable sounding that I surged up from sleep, screeching at Kiri to go away and then murmuring to a Skitten buried in the depths of the couch that it was ok, and Mommy was here for her, and I would take care of Kiri(i.e. hunt her down, grab her, cart her into a bedroom, and close her in).

I gave the victimized waif some snuggles and some breakfast. Nothing like comfort food. (Says the girl who at grilled cheese and lentil soup for dinner and who only wanted sushi this afternoon when she was sick)

I need to get on Facebook and ask Tara *how* she infiltrated my drug-dreams. Now that I'm up, I suppose I'll fire up the baby espresso machine and start writing papers. The fun never stops around here.
