ok so here are some things i've learned in my first year of college:
- if you thought you knew how to procrastinate in high school, think again. it becomes a high art form (read: i should be writing a paper but am instead making this list)
- turning a water faucet all the way off is apparently more difficult for some people than for others
- "health care" is always two words, and the hyphenation of "fund-raiser" changes depending on the part of speech
- i am, indeed, turning into my mother
- you will (!!!) sleep through your morning classes at least once a semester
- selling your soul to a student organization is the best way to meet really awesome people that are as geeky as you are
- finding a new music style will provide you hours of additional entertainment
- no matter how hard i try, my clothes and shoes still live where they're cast
- tea will mold
- you always get to know people best the week before they leave
- book sales, coffee shops, and sparkly earrings are my ultimate downfall
- the tar heels are the best in the world (yea 2005 NCAA CHAMPS!)
- going to bed early is never really an option
- you will have more than one dorm room
- there is a 3-day grace period on library books (i learned this last night)
- drinking is not for me, watching the effects of someone drinking half a fifth of tequila on no dinner will convince you of this rather quickly
- carolina girls got the good looks, sweet personalities too (yes, this can be depressing)
- a little bit of partying is good
- i have never felt so comfortable looking ridiculous than at the 80s dance. go, it's good for you.
- creativity is essential
- (appended at a later time) exam week should really be called "go out to dinner and watch lots of movies with friends" week
that's all for now. more later. i leave for london in 10 days! AHHHH! :).
