Here I am in good old north tonawanda - we arrived last night at 9:30 pm.
I woke up at 9 in the morning, and although it felt like 6, I decided it would be a GREAT idea to take a morning walk. After sliding around on the snow covered sidewalks for a while, my leisure walk turned into a trip full of determination - I was on a mission to find mittens.
On the way I grabbed a donut, and also (sadly) discovered that the 'Record Theater' was closed. I guess i get bored I can always stop over at the salvation army - a good way to kill time, and a good place to find a bowling ball bag for alex.
Today there was a big celebration for my grandmother's 80th birthday. It was a suprise party, and many relatives from my extended family were there. We all shared (non-alchoholic *damnit*) drinks and talked about what was going on in our lives. I was a bit nervous anticipating the get together, but it turned out to be much more comfortable than I expected.
In Fact, today was not a bad day. The only downsides were my dads slightly-shitty attitude, and my manager getting pissed because I went out of town. But hey, I posted it on the bulletin board, what more can I do? I just hope I don't get fired... free coffee is kind of a perk. I think lauren can sympathize.
EXTRA GREAT PARTS OF TODAY:
*I got a peek at the compassionate side of my aunt.
*I saw the most beautiful snowflake today - and took a moment to appreciate the greatness in the (so-called) randomness of life.
*I ate until I thought I would puke : )
*christmas money - need I say more?
