Woo! She's aliya_somalia and she wrote a survey

It's your morning commute. What are you doing?

Listening to whatever CD is in my CD player and silently judging people entering and exiting the tram.

The temperature outside: too hot, too cold, or just right?

The temperature is just right, I just wish there was a little more sunshine to go along with it.

Describe your current state of being.

I'm out-of-any-conceivable-loop-like-construction and I've basically just given up on trying to get back in. It'll happen or it won't. M-e-h. Meh.

Electronic planner or the old-school paper version?

Old-school paper version. I dunno, there's just something about X'ing out days on a calender that's just refreshing to me.

What's occupying your mind these days?

Many, many, many, many, many things. A better question: what's not occupying my mind these days? Answer: There is nothing that is not occupying my mind at this time.

Thoughts and feelings on plants:

They are nice to look at and if someone were to give me one, I wouldn't mind...but I also wouldn't count on it staying alive for very long. I do not have a green thumb. The outdoor variety of plants sometimes tend to make me feel sneezy...

You've decorated your desk/cubicle/workspace with...

I wouldn't so much call it "decoration" but Aliya sent me this photo holder-clip thingy for my birthday, but I use it to clip my "To-Do List" so I can easily see it. The photo that's supposed to go in there (I think) it's at my apartment. Otherwise...nothing else but papers and stuff.

Fr. Theodore Hesburgh (sp?) wrote a book called God, Country, Notre Dame. What would your 3 things be?

So easy: Döner, Coffee, Beer

Have you already had your quarter-life crisis?

I've been in my quarter-life crisis for like 2 years now.

Best thing about summer:

Drinking a cold beer outside is no longer pure torture.

Most annoying thing about summer:

Depending on location: heat, humidity, high pollen levels

Are you planning on playing Katie's CD game?

I wanna but 1.) live far away 2.) no cd burner access

Favorite purchase of 2005:

I have not bought anything really cool this year.

Something that recently surprised you:

Well, the surprise visit from my cleaning guy is the most recent surprise. My apartment was quite messy.

Next place you're headed via public transport and when:

Home around 6pm-ish

Next place you're headed via train and when:

Either Cologne or Frankfurt, in like 1 1/2 weeks.

Next place you're headed via car and when:

Hoo boy, tough question... I don't know...

Next place you're headed via airplane and when:

Well, if I don't go to Cologne on the train then I will fly there on July 11th. If I do go to Cologne by train on the 11th, then then next place will be NYC on July 14th.

Are you where you thought you'd be in life 2 years ago?

Yes and no. Geographically speaking, I'm at least kind of in the place I want to be. Career-wise, I think I'm on a track of some kind...whether or not it's the right one, remains to be seen. Personal life? Well, 1.5 out of 3 isn't all that bad? Right?

The year is almost half over. How's it been so far?

You know when Katie asks "How goes the struggle?" and then you're like "Struggle-tastic, yo" ... yeah that sums it up pretty nicely, I think.
