have not updated in evar! hooray. crap, a lot of things have been happening. um... recently... okay. sunday was our choir trip to Toronto/cd release gig. it was pretty interesting. we went to an actual supper club thing called Hugh's Room and watched Michael Johnston and the Gentlemen Collars play their set, which was wonderful! and also hilarious, as they encouraged us to get up and dance at this one point, where Michael and Dave came out into the audience and were rocking out and dancing themselves. i began the dancing, closely followed by Tommy, whom i grabbed and encouraged to boogie. after the intermission they invited us up on stage, us being Belleville's Centennial Secondary School choir. (or part of the choir. anyways.) we sang our songs, screwed up in a couple places, forgot to come in in a couple places, but apparently it wasn't too noticeable. these things happen, i guess. then Michael pulled Andy Mays and some guy from his band out of the audience to come jam with us! the "some guy" whose name i can't remember wrote that song that we were playing. (oh yeah, which reminds me. the songs we sang were not very choral. they were canadian folk/rock songs. complete lack of vocal challenge or even ARRANGEMENT, but they were kind of fun. anywho.) everyone, including Michael, was totally expecting them to play guitar, or sing lead vocals or something, but they were like no way, man! we're going to the back of the choir and singing with the boys! it was pretty awesome. so yeah. our set of songs went really well. but then we had a two hour bus ride home to belleville from 10:30 to 12:30 am. bleh. i didn't sleep on that ride at all.

oh! i forgot the best part. okay. it was my lovely friend sydney's seventeenth birthday that day, so when the time came for us to scoot out and get supper before the performance, we walked a couple blocks down the street and found this really snazzy restaurant called Domani. i definitely recommend it; everybody's meal but mine was so delicious! and OMG, it was CHEAP. which was amazing. but by the time we'd finished and paid for our meals, it was pouring rain outside. not a gentle summer rain, it was POURING. raining cats and dogs, as they say. and the best part of my night was booking it back to Hugh's Room in the rain and getting soaked. i LOVED it.

okay, the bell just went. goodbye! update more later. <3
