Non traditional Independence Day is great success for locals

4th of July=great success!

Yume and I went swimming in the pond (yeah, SOUNDS totally gross but really is less gross than rivers in the surrounding areas). Well, we didn't so much swim as sit in 3 ft. water...and watched a dog chase ducks (no worries, he didn't catch them).

Then went to Chris's 4th of July BBQ. Good times + pictures I can't post b/c my computer is f-ing slow!! AGH. So, so frustrated.

Later, we went to the bowling alley and after an almost game, went to Oaks Park for fireworks. Alicia, my friend Matt's girlfriend and I talked about what bands/songs/music we can't stand, and then Ben supplemented it with singing lots of songs we hate. Except, Ben sings in a very specific way that makes most songs I hate (except for Blue by Eiffel 65) sound reasonably good.

Spent the rest of the night being too warm in Matt's apartment. Ben and I ate grapefruit cups. Chet and I threw Alicia's bracelets at people, and Matt got scolded by Alicia. All this was super fun. All and all, a good day.

bbq, bad music, bowling, pictures, 4th of july
