What I learned, Week 4

  1. One gold coin can take me from one end of Faire to the other and keep my energy up the whole way. Many thanks to kangitanka for gifting the coin to me.
    • The most helpful women in the world (when it comes to deciding how to spend your money) are Big-Tittied Black women.
  2. I am not a prop-oriented performer. At least this is what I tell myself. What I’ve found is that I’m not so interested in my props.
    • My voodoo poppet is much more fun in someone else’s hands. I like the idea of my spectacles, though I rarely use them.
    • Other people’s props however are good for hours of mischief.
  3. Celeste’s walk is very brisk and angular. Not at all what I imagined, but it’s what suits her.
    • It’s very tiring.
  4. Being French means being scandalous.
    • I don’t have the stealth required for good scandal.
  5. Entertaining children is an art, much like painting. I don’t paint well.
    • I draw sometimes, though more often I doodle. My doodles might be slightly more…“artistic” than stick figures and spirals, but they’re still not what anyone would consider good art.
  6. Sometimes the jokes are indeed, just for us, but it’s still funny for people watching too.
    • I need to remember more PG-13 punch lines.
  7. My energy and motivation come in spurts.
    • When my high energy meets with low energy/non-cooperative patrons, it fizzles. I want to find a way to not let that happen. (Sometimes, empathy is lame.)
  8. Coercing danielraptus into dancing with me, and having Magnus be on my side, is very exciting.
    • It’s like having another brother to torment and tease, and that makes me happy.
  9. QAL can always make me smile.
    • Being a part of the Wall-of-Tall is always entertaining, especially when we actually get to exercise our bouncer-esque privileges.
  10. Fried Okra is good. More to the point, comfort food at the end of a long day makes me smile.
