WIL Workshops 4

  1. My boots are top notch when it comes to keeping water out. They’re not so good at keeping heat in.

  2. Once a lady’s maid, always a lady’s maid.
    • I cannot keep myself from primping everyone around me. Most of the time I can keep it in my head and hold my hands still, but sometimes I’m tugging and straightening before I realize it.
    • Lilli is still my default answer. If my mind locks up, my bones disappear and Lilli comes out to save me.

  3. Compliments from the people I respect mean the world to me. When that compliment falls within their area of expertise, my heart sings.

  4. The games that are my favorite are not always the games that I am the best at.
    • I love “Little Pig” but when put on the spot I rarely come up with a unique answer.
    • “Lines from my pocket” makes me incredibly happy, and the way we played it in dialect helped me make the leap from the things I say in my head to what would be appropriate for Celeste. I’m going to make a personal translation list of Linnea to Celeste.
    • “Orb of Truth” is lots of fun, though there’s never enough time. I want to answer all of the questions, and I want to know what all of the questions are.
  5. Celeste is colder and more analytical than Lilli, but for the most part she hides it well.

  6. Sometimes a lab/class will teach me things completely unrelated to the topic that is being taught.
    • While focusing on things to do to keep your brain from freezing under pressure I realized the key to letting other people drive in a scene. Seeing if I actually remember to do it in the lanes is something else entirely.

  7. Getting to snuggle a kitty helps me sleep better, but it sure does make getting out of bed harder. If Banshee weren’t so cute, I’d have more time for breakfast.

  8. The performers that I’m drawn to are very rarely the ones that I would say I am like, in style or execution.
    • That being said, I’d have a hard time categorizing myself at all.

    • Which is also not to say that I want to be like them, but just that because their strengths are different than mine, I am fascinated by them.
  9. Losing things makes me exceptionally cranky, even more so when the item in question was a gift (and a necessary part of life at Faire).

  10. Warm food makes cold days better. So do hugs and snuggles.
    • Lunchtime is my favorite part of workshops because everyone is together and mingling and it’s relaxed and cozy.

    • Faire is a social activity for me. I perform because making people smile or seeing their eyes light up is ridiculously rewarding to me. Then I get to gather together with friends at the end of the day to talk about the many ways we made somebody’s day better
