Oxford

So in spite of the interviews - the linguistics one in which the interviewer stared openly at my breasts with no shame whilst asking stupid questions about when dialects become different languages, and the French one in which inevitably, the play which i said i had read, (in fact I’d 'wikipedia'ed it) turned out to be the interviewer's (ice queen Liz 'bitch' Nash's) favourite play in the whole wide fucking world. Obviously the interview did not progress well from here (not aided by my incompetence in stringing together a coherent French sentence due to Liz Nash frowning at me constantly.) Some how I don't think I’m quite what they were looking for. But apart from this it was great, finding out I’m not socially inept and am able to hold rather in depth conversations, to the point that I made two brilliant friends - Myrsia (Polish and lives in Solihull) and Rhodri (with a keen fondness for musicals...) We whiled away the hours by going to Primark, (Oxford doesn't have a H&M!?) playing Connect 4 and Deal or No Deal in the bar (which shuts at 11!?), going out for cups of tea on a Friday night (quite depressing really) and myself generally questioning why I’d applied to such a bizarre place - which felt increasingly like Hogwarts every time I walked out of my room.

And last night was opening night of the school pantomime, which was a bit of a shambles in parts, particularly my axe-wielding, but fun all the same.
