Sam stood and watched as the ambulance carried Jess's lifeless body away. He felt numb. Jess had been his whole life for so long and yet he felt nothing. No sadness or grief at her passing, just numb. He could feel Dean standing next to him. Looking at him with such care and unquestionable faith, making sure he was alright. Sam wasn't sure if he would ever be alright. Jess had just been killed by the demon and all he could think about was his brother. he was so glad Dean was back. They were always meant to be together.
