EPILOGUE

So here he was, looking idly over the rim of the cradle at the tiny figure curled up inside.

Oscar decided that this newest addition to his family was a peculiar little thing, emphasis on the little.

The child was female, without a doubt, and with eyes that blue, and that large she’d undoubtedly get her way in any situation she wanted. Well, at least with most people, David had had too much practice having to fend off Sebastien’s baby blues and pout.

So she was pretty, with her bronzed skin, ebony hair and those eyes of hers. What made it odd, was that it was the perfect combination of David and Sebastien, and Oscar thought if they were capable of having a child together, this is what she’d look like.

Despite the physical appearance signifying that of a baby angel, Oscar found her to be a grabby little thing. Wrapping her tiny fingers against anything she could get her hands on. Attention seeking as well, clearly adoring the love showered down on her by anyone who appeared in the doorway.

But loud, oh, she was loud. In the middle of the night, she’d screech like the world was ending. This really led back to the last two points of her being attention-seeking and grabby. Oscar guessed she’d be very talkative when she was older.

So yes, 6-month old Darci Carey Lefebvre-Desrosiers, was pretty, grabby, attention-seeking and loud.

And Oscar found himself loving her more and more every day.
