The random song meme

From anuna_81 . the 25 first songs on shuffle from my iPod. These are from my 300 strong active walking down the street playlist, though, not the whole 8GB Nano.

1. Dave Brubeck Quartet -- "Take Five"
2. Toto -- "Africa"
3. The Beatles -- "Here, There, and Everywhere"
4. The Beatles -- "Strawberry Fields Forever"
5. Barbra Streisand -- "What Are You Doing the Rest of Your Life"
6. Tori Amos -- "Cornflake Girl"
7. Jamie Cullum -- "Blame It On My Youth"
8. Holly Brook -- "Cellar Door"
9. Queen -- "Bohemian Rhapsody"
10. Jäääär -- "Soo" (here you have the specialties of the Estonian language -- yes, the band's came is really a word, a compound meaning "The Edge of Ice", the song name means "Swamp". It's a swamp singing about the peasant serfs who ran away from their owners and tried to hide themselves in the swamp)
11. The Brand New Heavies -- "Midnight at the Oasis"
12. Lisa Loeb -- "You Say"
13. David Bowie -- "Space Oddity"
14. Ruja -- "Ei mullast" ("Not From Earth", a song about the changes between the generations in Estonia. Most of my friends are second generation urbanites with grandparents in the country. The country values, honoring the land and the forest and nature in general are something that are a big part of being Estonian, no matter where you live. But the song, sung by the most revered rock group in Estonia and written by a friend of my father's actually, is about young people losing touch with these values)
15. Otis Redding -- "Ain't No Sunshine When She's Gone"
16. Aqualung -- "Brighter Than Sunshine"
17. George Harrison -- "When We Was Fab"
18. Buddy Rich -- "The Beat Goes On"
19. Shirley Bassey -- "Send In the Clowns"
20. Simon and Garfunkel -- "Kathy's Song"
21. Chris Isaak -- "Wicked Game"
22. George Michael -- "Cowboys and Angels"
23. Mono -- "Life In Mono"
24. Wet Wet Wet -- "Goodnight Girl"
25. Jaan Sööt -- "Suur nukker kuu" ("Big Sad Moon", by the singer of "Jäääär". And, yes, if it seems to you that there are very many long vowels in Estonian, you are right, there are. Though, the written language is phonetic, so if it's pronounced with a long vowel, it's also written with it, so no cheating like in English with words like "ball")
