(no subject)
I'm sitting in my living room and when I look out my window I can see the accumulation of a full days worth of snow. It snowed Saturday and didn't melt and then it snowed again almost all day. We have about a foot outside. It is so beautiful but making every day travel difficult. Christmas is almost upon us and I am not finished shopping. School was my first nuissance, now its the weather. Wow, okay so things are crazy. Planning a wedding is insane and has way more aspects to it than I thought possible. It's 30 days till Austin and I get married... when I think about it that way it seems even closer. Austin sent me a gmail chat today that said we only have 720 hours till we get married. He is ridiculous.
Anyway, its been quite the adventure getting things put together. I'll admit that once I got engaged, my focus on school started to wane a bit. Probably because my wedding is way more exciting than Political Theory. But we finished up the quarter and I passed and did better than I thought I would (amazingly).
Things are going well. I am learning to love Austin's family a lot more and I like that. We have our interviews for temple recommends on Sunday and that's exciting. Austin's mom and I are getting along really well. I got my official ring and I love it very much. We're going to the mall after I get off of work to pick up Austin's. My dress should be here pretty quickly. I hope it fits... If not then I will have to return it and go pick up another at David's Bridal. Oh well, we'll see what happens. Austin and I bought matching Chuck Taylors for our wedding in our colors and they are awesome. They'll be here pretty soon.
We went to my work Christmas party last Friday and had a really nice time. I won a $110 gift certificate to the Chrysallis Spa in Bellingham and I made my appointment today to get a manicure and pedicure a few days before my wedding. I am really excited. Everything is just really new and exciting these days. Austin and I were approved for the duplex we wanted. We are signing the lease on Friday and I can start moving in on the 29th. We finally mailed out our formal invitations and that was a painful experience.
Anyway, that's sort of the update for now. I am happy... busy but happy and the snow is beautiful. I hope everybody else is doing well... I love December. Its a good time of year.
