BREAK YOURSELVES UPON MY BODY

Too much Stonecore, not enough time.

Good news, everyone! I found a walking partner! One of the receptionist at the hospital is also trying to take up walking for pretty much the same reasons I am - health and to reduce stress and anxiety. We're meeting every morning Mon-Wed (those are the only days she works mornings, but I'm going to be doing it even when she doesn't) at 7:25 AM and walking for about 30 minutes until the hospital is open. It really helps to have someone who has that goal they want to reach too, and you both kind of help each other keep up with it. I've tried asking Duncan to be my "No, you have to walk like you promised yourself!" person to go with me and encourage me, but he usually just kind of goes "Okay" if I say I'm too tired or something. I don't blame him. He has a significantly physical job that keeps him in shape.

Hopefully this will help curb the anxiety in addition to a minimum dosage of medicine. Things have just been pretty bad in that regard. I'm on a rollercoaster of emotions at almost all times. I've haven't felt so out of control of myself before, and I can't fuck up this job. I really love it too much. No, I really think the walking will help lots, and I plan to still take the dog on her daily walks as much as possible too. I may even work up to running. I've always wanted to be able to do it.

Also working on not drinking any beer, even light beer, or dark sodas anymore. Kidney and related issues keep popping up, and I figure even though I don't drink as much of either as I used to, I should just eliminate them all together. If I want a treat, I'll go for some red wine or a sprite or some green tea with honey.

I have some realistic goals at the moment, and I feel like it's very much within my reach. I appreciate all the support from everyone who takes the time to comment and give me advice with this stuff. And seraphitta? That smoothie is my breakfast staple now. ♥

Oh! If anyone has any awesome-yet-healthy recipes (preferably involving spicy stuff, chicken, and/or fish), let me know! I'm always looking for new things to cook.
