90 minutes of Glee my ass! Try "a regular episode with a commercial after just about every number" instead. Really, I loved the Unpretty duet with Rachel and Quinn, but I worry that the show is taking kind of a downward slope for me. I still miss the magic. Like it seemed like a show with a message that was funny and entertaining and inspiring all at once. Now it feels like an after school special. It has a great message, but it beats you over the head so shamelessly that it feels almost insulting. There are so many things I still like about it. Most of the songs. The dialogue. Some of the characters. No, really. Lauren is like the best character they've introduced, even over Sam. I feel kind of like it's starting to go the way of Star Wars as a whole. With no budget and a lot of people to impress, Lucas pulled off simple, humble magic. When he got the money for the prequels, we got Jar Jar, Hayden Christensen, and almost NSync Jedi. Though I still find myself entertained if not as enamored as I once was, I worry, I worry...
