First of all, I'm going to stop cutting the short answers for these. Second of all, RPGs. Easily. While I love some action games, first person shooters, survival horror, and Sims-type games. I even like Guitar Hero and that crap. There's just something about RPGs, be they Zelda-style or Final Fantasy-esque. I also like to see the new, and occasionally unsuccessful, attempts to take the classic systems and change them up a bit to keep things fresh. While more and more action-oriented games have begun to develop plots and stories that are just as complex as and RPG's might be, it was the genre that really made me a gamer, and I love to hear about any upcoming RPGs from a new Zelda title to a classic story with updated graphics. I can't really explain it. It's just my favorite genre.
That and Dragon Age 2. Damn, Anders. I thought it was going to be Alistair version 2.0 - sweet but a bit sappy with an upgraded addition of ANNNNNGST I DON'T WANT TO HUUUURT YOU. And it kind of was after the fact. But I did not just expect you to go for it like that.
