Tear
From what I heard around the fandom (forums, hated character defense, etc.), I thought I would hate Tear. I mean, let's face it; her name sucks for one thing, and I've heard through the grapevine that she's cold and unfeeling. I actually don't get that impression at all and like the balance that she gives Luke's character so far. Granted I'm just past the liger part, so I don't know all there is to know about the game, but I like her. Her secret love for the... the bunny things is adorable too since you wouldn't expect it. And she's fun to play at that!

Luke
Luke... is a brat. A complete and utter brat. Still, I find him extremely entertaining and like him because of this. Besides, it's understandable why he's a brat, spoilers I'm aware of aside, and I'm sure his character is going to undergo Extreme Progression throughout the course of the game as most main characters do. The only thing that irks me about Luke really has nothing to do with is character and is hardly his fault. I do feel like he would be despised by a lot of the fandom if he were female. It's like the thing where people hate Miaka with a passion but love characters like Pink Haired Boy Whose Name I Can Never Remember to Spell Correctly from Gravitation. Not that I like Miaka. I... actually don't like her or Pink Haired Boy Whose Name I Can Never Remember to Spell Correctly from Gravitation much.

Jade
Is ~fabulous~ so far. I was kind of surprised that he set me up the bomb. I should have known I could never have such a high level character escorting me through the woods just for shits and giggles. Look what happened with Sephiroth. Easy battles, but before you know it? He's burned the town down and killed all the people. Which... is more extreme than what Jade did, but you get the point. I hope. Anyway, he's coolsauce. I hope to have lots more time with him. It was also much fun to play Let's See if We Can Kill the Monsters Before Jade Gets His Spell Off.

Everyone else has yet to be in the game much or leave an impression on me. I'm enjoying myself muchly so far, though! Fun and straightforward. And it's cool to play with another person. Duncan says he likes Luke best so far. He would.
