so a wee update myself
so as most of my friends will now know after an huge amount of patience i have finally landed myself a Lauren, i had been almost convinced to make a return to larp, after another year away, at Dessie and Brias recent party at Loch Lomond. Which was frankly a fantastic weekend of getting to know new folk and catch up with ace friends.
now with talking to Lauren about her recent change in status i decided it must be now or never time, for lets face it she would have had a flock of gentlemen trying to woo her. i must not let this happen.
i decided to attend the moot, but this was almost scuppered by my wages not appearing.....texting Lauren i got a very unhappy text back, so i did what any sensible guy would do. i scaped together enough money to get to Locko and get through the gate....could i eat or drink ....my work mates donated 14 bottles of kronenberg....i was sorted (food you say beer is food for LARPERS right... )and off i drove there was no WAY i was missing the chance.
so thursday night beer tent.....Lauren appears and well tentatively i hugged her and we talked and talked and socialised with every one.......Peter tried to show me his pants...why i have no idea but hey we was most excited to show nearly every one in the beer tent....hes special dont ya know :-)
much socialising later a group of us ended back up at steve and pets tent and more drinking and laughs were had and well from then the weekend got very hot.....though there was a cold wind.....
Me and Lauren well i think we both had made the same decision 7 years was long enough to have liked one another from afar.....
i am a very happy mike indeed and it would appear so is Lauren....and this is AWESOME!!!!
