Did absolutely nothing today, and loved every minute of it. I slept a lot, and I have no idea why I'm doing that lately. Like yesterday, I woke up at 9 or so, went and checked on the Maizie, went to go wake Ken up, got in bed with him, and slept till 11:30. He woke me up, because we had plans to do breakfast, we went to the Cobblestone (and had a pork roll egg and cheese sammich that was bangin'), walked on the beach for a little bit, and got home around one. And I was like, I'm going to lay down for a little bit. Well, I woke up at three, going "dammit, I guess I gotta shower now..."
The good thing was, at least I was wide-awake all night. Dinner with Nana & Family was nice. The funniest part of the evening was when the valet walked up to my car to park it, goes, "Is that a stick? I'm just learning how to drive stick." Well, you're not learning on my car, buddy. He pointed out a decent spot to me, and I parked my car my damn self.
After I dropped off Aunt Jane and Cousin Jim, I dropped off Ken at home, and changed my clothes. He would've come with me to Giamano's, but he had to pop a couple Benadryl earlier in the evening because of Uncle Rob's Golden Retriever. So yeah, he was tired. I had an awesome time, though. Jim sounded great, his drummer freaked me out, and and the bass player was a trip. Funny fucking people.
Got home sometime after three, because I had a massive craving for Windmill cheese fries, and stopped at the Windmill just as it was closing. Thank Goddess for that place, the Windmill fucking rocks!
Doing nothing today felt awesome. I'm not sure I'm caught up on sleep yet, because I'm ready to pass out.
Ken's leaving for Canada tomorrow, which sucks. So I'll be on my own all week. Eh, I'll live, but it's a different experience going to an empty bed when you're used to having a life-sized teddy bear to cuddle.
