I wanted a song that was really romantic and sappy, to be honest. I also wanted a theme of being there for each other even through tough times. So of course thing song was instantly something I thought of. Finding a cover was hard, but I settled on this one.

I wanted a very playful song for Evan, especially one with a lot double meanings. The song is very fun and teasing, almost, much like Evan is to Guys. I also picked the song because he mentioned being a "thief of daughters," which I know is a lie, but it shows his sense of humor.

These two are two misfits who like having fun together. They're roughly the same age, so their maturity level isn't exactly the greatest. At the same time, they work well together. Guys often bickers with Jose, but Jose likes it. Usually at the end of the day Guys gives in, Jose has to work for his affection. So I kind of wanted to convey how they weren't the most romantic couple, but at the same time they have their moments that are romantic in another light.

You always need a sun reference in a Shion/Guys song! This is mostly Shion to Guys, and him trying to get over his angsty past to get closer to people. I wanted a song with that hesitance, and I think Depeche Mode wrote a song that fits this really well. Obviously Shion wants to love Guys and no lose him, so. :|b

To rid my dirty mind of all of its preciousness
I wanted an abstract song for them, and also a reference to royalty. I also wanted a little theme of insanity, and I think the lyrics describe it. I also believe Belbet really thought of Guys like Jake Darling (especially in the Evan path). Belbet was troubled with his memory of "betraying" and not believing Jake, resulting in Jake's death.

I took this from right when Vallewida runs into Guys again. I think they will always have an awkwardness between them no matter what. So I wanted something that showed a polite, respectful view of their past together, but things stayed in the past. They both had a very tough time in prison, so they have a level of respect for each other.

So it isn't a possible couple, but hey, I have Belbet on here (it almost was an option in the game anyway). I think if they got together, Guys would try to make Io happier and help him grow the confidence he needs so badly. The song is about coming out of one's shell and enjoying life, and Io needs that badly.
