Part 2 of my entry on the rest of my Midwest US trip takes place May 14-18.
In the morning, Daddy Jeff was horny and tried to fuck me but his thick cock couldn’t get in my tight ass so after enough trying, had to give up (BIG sigh...). I would certainly feel it for a few more days to come LOL! After my shower, Daddy Jeff made me a yummy beagle with butter for breakfast. Not long afterwards we went to his workplace, a place that repairs and restores various kinds of pianos. I met his boss, Doug, who was a woofy otter and I was cruising him a bit. It was a pretty big place with a ton of dismantled and abandoned pianos. After a couple of hours Daddy Jeff and I went to IHOP for lunch, my treat. I had a Belgian waffle with blueberries and strawberries while Daddy had a Philly cheese steak sandwich. We chatted, mostly about things in my background with David and me. Daddy Jeff then took me on a tour around Alton, mostly looking at the Victorian-style homes and other brick buildings. Our last stop was Alton Cemetery, where I saw a lot of graves that were erected from the early 19th century and around the time of the Civil War. Some of them were so old and faded that you couldn’t read them. We went home for a bit and afterwards, we had supper at a Chinese buffet restaurant. While there wasn’t as much as “Asian Kitchen” all the way back in Coquitlam, it was cheaper plus it included drinks ($10US per person compared to $17Cdn with no drinks) and I treated Daddy again this time. The food was quite good - not high quality but had good flavor. I had two large plates and a small cup of wonton soup while Daddy had a plate and a half. We got home before 10pm and watched a couple more DVR’ed episodes of TNG before going to bed.
Friday morning, Daddy Jeff called the prosecuting attorney sometime after he got up. It didn’t accomplish much so he has to face the music and go to the courthouse all the way in Effingham County come July. After I got ready, we went to get the windshield repaired at Safelite on Homer Adams Parkway. While waiting, we walked across the street and a few blocks to Good Will so Daddy Jeff could look for a pair of jeans. There was hardly any and none in his size so we spent over the next half hour browsing but didn’t buy anything. As we walked out, it was starting to rain and I put my camera under my shirt carefully to protect it. We quickly ducked into a tire mechanic place (I forgot the name) until the rain died down in minutes. As we exited and continued back in the direction of Safelite, Daddy Jeff crossed the street back to it while I went to
Slacker’s, a video game & comic & movie & music store. It was quite fun and they had a good selection of games, merchandise, comics, movies, music, etc. both new and used. I picked up a used copy of Soul Calibur for Sega Dreamcast for $18, and a couple of used but in great condition strategy guides for $18 together. Daddy Jeff called the store to let me know he was going to pick me up as the new windshield was installed. He came in as I was just purchasing my items. The guys at Safelite did a good job in the installation and they even cleaned the inside of the truck and did a couple of other tweaks too. It was almost $200 but was worth it given the extra mile they went. Before we could go to St. Louis, Daddy Jeff got a call that some customer was dropping off their piano at his workplace - unscheduled! He quickly drove there and immediately saw the piano on the front door and two young movers about to pull out before he yelled for them to stop. They did and he approached them to let them know that the piano is supposed to be delivered in the back. It was starting to rain again but after guiding the piano through the back loading dock, it arrived okay. The movers were nice guys and Daddy Jeff wasn’t angry at them as the customer was being a bitch and should have scheduled the drop off by calling Doug to begin with. After it was done though, a woman from the house next door came out delirious as just half a block away, a car smashed into the back side of a school bus! As we drove past it, we noticed the car’s front was totally wrecked and it lifted the back of the school bus a bit. There seemed to be a few kids on the bus and I don’t know if any of them were hurt but the driver was in a stretcher. Daddy Jeff took a quick picture of the wreckage and emailed it to the local news station,
KSDK (though we found nothing on their website later that night about it and even up to now…). He continued to his appointment to the foot doctor and made it on time despite the last two setbacks. The doctor did a great job on cleaning his feet (first time I ever saw that LOL!) so it was amusing. While the rain died down, the rest of the day was mostly cloudy, even as we continued into St. Louis. I noticed a lot of the brick buildings and homes plus the lovely large churches. We stopped in one the city's gay districts in South Grand Central and after paying for nearly two hours of parking, we stopped into Cheap Trx, a gay novelty store that was connected to a tattoo and piercing parlour. Downstairs was the sex toy shop but there was very little of interest and turns out (according to Daddy Jeff) it’s the only place to buy gear in the city. That’s a bummer… Anyways, we left and after a couple of blocks, we had dinner at the
City Diner, which would be St. Louis’ equivalent of Hamburger Mary’s in Vancouver. It had a nice early 60s diner atmosphere. Daddy Jeff had a burger with fries while I took a risk and ordered a chicken pasta dish in mushroom sauce with a piece of garlic bread. I didn’t care for it as the shredded parmesan cheese kind of ruined it for me. I would have diarrhea for the rest of the day from it. Daddy Jeff paid for the meal this time. After returning to the truck, we left South Grand Central and went to a couple of parks not too far by so I could get some pictures. We were back home in Alton just before sunset. It was then that Daddy Jeff and I geared up a little bit and I did an intense fisting session on him that lasted under an hour. He was in pure ecstasy and was on a big endorphin high afterwards! I joked to him after it was over, “You can’t say I left you empty handed”. After cleaning up, we went to a fire gathering in the backyard of the same neighbours two houses over. There were around 10 of us and it was relatively boring for me as they were socializing and drinking amongst each other. The ATV 4-wheeler that Zack, our host, was working on when I arrived was finally finished (he had it since his early teens and hasn’t been rode in almost 15 years!) and he rode it around. Daddy Jeff and I went back home at about midnight and went to bed about an hour later. I got my best night of sleep, thankfully.
After I got up in the late morning, Daddy Jeff went back to his workplace by himself for over a few hours while I puttered around on my laptop. I did a video call with Peter via Skype and asked him about the incident with the state trooper on Wednesday and he said it’s unlikely it’ll have much bearing on me as I wasn’t charged and my name wasn’t on the tickets. Still, given that we live in a post 9/11 world and how US Homeland Security looks through our records with a fine tooth comb… Anyways, after I finished chatting, I notice Lady going nuts in the back room and it turns out a bird had accidentally gotten into the house through the open door to the backyard. It was trying to fly out but kept smacking itself into the windows. I thought I could open a window but turns out they have screens on them. Lady was trying to get it, making a mess in the process, and the bird eventually trapped itself in a corner but couldn’t find room to escape by flying up. Lady wouldn’t relent on wanting to kill it but couldn’t reach the bird. After over 10 minutes, I try to make room for the bird by slightly pulling out a small shelf so it could escape and fly again but instead, it ran through the back and Lady quickly took chase to go to the back of the room to catch it. She knocked down a loose closet door and after I set it back up against the wall, I see the bird’s corpse, crushed a bit with a small amount of entrails coming out and a little blood on the floor! Lady caught and crushed the bird in her mouth and she was licking it! I immediately texted Daddy Jeff and I got a dustpan to pick up the bird and placed it in a box (one of the boxes that happened to be from one of my EBay purchases) in the garbage. Ugh! I wouldn’t pet Lady for the rest of the day and let her lick my hand. After what she did, she seemed happy and content. Daddy Jeff eventually got home from work and yelled at Lady and wouldn’t give her affection. Before returning to St. Louis to attend the Distant Worlds: Music from Final Fantasy concert, I got Daddy Jeff to watch a few parts of
Gametrailers.com video retrospective of the series so he would have a small idea of what the Final Fantasy series was about. Sadly, I wished we could have watched more parts before heading out at 6pm. The GPS Daddy Jeff used took him in a longer direction to get to
Powell Hall but I at least got to see more sights of the city and it was mostly sunny. I paid $10 for parking in the lot next to the Hall which was worth it given it was close and will save us major headaches. Much to my surprise, a lot of people were dressed well to the event and next to no one was in cosplay (maybe a couple of people). It’s different in Vancouver in which there are a lot of people who cosplay to Final Fantasy concerts and the vast majority of people dress casually to them. I picked up our tickets from the box office as I ordered them online almost a couple months ago. The inside of Powell Hall was quite beautiful, both the lobby and the theatre. We took our seats but I got up to go check the merchandise and get us something to drink. I bought a copy of the new Distant Worlds III soundtrack, and A New World: intimate music from Final Fantasy. I wanted to include a T-shirt and program book for Daddy Jeff as a gift but they were taking cash only so I sacrificed the book and took a T-shirt instead. Not long after I bought it did I realize it was a large size and too small for Daddy Jeff. I took it that they were sold out of X-large shirts. Shit! I picked up a sprite for Daddy and a coke for myself before returning to our seats.
I’ll be mentioning about the concert with the program of songs played in my next blog entry. While I was used to it and thought it was okay, Daddy Jeff loved it and said that he was brought to tears since he hasn’t been to a live symphony since his early teen years! He was also entertained by the CG animation from the various games. During the intermission, he would surprise me by getting me a cherry coke and share a small popcorn together.
After the concert ended, Daddy Jeff and I left the Hall and while we had to wait a little bit to leave the parking lot due to the chaos, it didn’t take long. Before we were out of St. Louis, he stopped at a gas station to take a quick piss and he picked up a small bag of chips for us to munch on. He apologized for leaving me alone in the truck in a dangerous neighbourhood of the city LOL! We continued back to Alton, taking a quicker way back without the GPS. There was a seat belt check stop on the way and Daddy Jeff scrambled to get his on! He managed to before they could see us. There were two cops on the side, the first one waves us through and I was thinking he wanted us to go the next cop. The next cop doesn’t look at us and Daddy Jeff continues to drive, thinking it was okay but I panicked and had him stop, thinking the cop was supposed to say something before letting us through! Turns out he was right and cop said it was okay to go. Whew! We got home by 11pm. As it was our last night, Daddy Jeff and I talked about what we thought of each other and the possibility of a more formal relationship. I said I wouldn’t rule it out but given we live in two separate countries and the pains of immigration (not being able to work for a few years and have to be supported by the one hosting you) plus given our current financial situations, it’s hard to say if it will happen. We’ll always be friends and love each other. As we finished that conversation, a few of the female neighbours came over and invited us to another fire gathering. We took them up on their offer, thinking it would only take about half an hour. There were less people this time but we had a better, more social time. We got to talking about gun control and boy, not only were they shocked to find out that Canadians cannot own guns (except for hunting) but were defensive to suggest it would work in America. I knew I couldn't budge them so I said that while I wouldn't agree if the US government took the Canadian model and said to Americans "No more guns!" because most Americans will not comply, the opposite model would also not work in Canada in terms of citizens owning guns. Canadians are glad we aren't allowed to own guns and it has worked for us. We have historical and cultural differences and we need to respect that. Personally, I feel societies that don't allow their citizens to carry guns will produce less deaths from gun-related accidents and crimes. We also talked about the problems of the US economy. They started to really like me when I said I was totally against the outsourcing of American jobs to foreign countries as a way for these big businesses and companies to save money and increase profits. I mentioned that a friend of mine in Washington State lost his job years ago because they outsourced it to India. Anyways, the night went on okay and Daddy Jeff even got to go for a spin on the ATV 4-wheeler. Zack's wife and sisters went to Jack-in-the-Box and picked me up a chicken sandwich as I had a coke and a lemonade. It was getting way too late so I said my final goodbyes and thanked Zack's family for their hospitality before we went to bed by 2am. I couldn’t sleep as Lady got in my way as usual so I got up at 5:30am to work on getting all my receipts together for customs and converting them into Canadian dollars. Sometime after 6:30am I nudged Daddy Jeff to get Lady to move (when I got up, she moved and slept around my pillow area - damn bitch!) and I went back to bed, finally sleeping comfortably.
I got up by 1pm Sunday afternoon, played with Daddy Jeff by giving him a salty treat (heh heh...), showered, did my final packing, and we were out by 4pm. We stopped off at a McDonalds drive-thru near the house. Daddy Jeff ordered a fillet-o-fish and a cheeseburger with a large drink but I found my Chicken Bacon wrap had garlic sauce - which I didn't expect in the American McDonalds version as the Canadian one uses mayonnaise instead. I didn't like it and had the fries and drink with my meal. Daddy Jeff had the wrap and stopped at a second McDonalds and got me a McChicken sandwich. It was very small, similar to the Junior Chicken at the Canadian McDonalds. Still good though. We got to Lambert Airport and we gave each other one last kiss and goodbye. I knew it would be harder for him than for me. Inside, the boarding pass line for Air Canada took half an hour as this one guy had an oversized container that the clerks were wondering if he paid for it beforehand or not. They let him continue to security but it turns out as I was overhearing that he underpaid the over limit fee so they were going to go send someone to fetch him (LOL!). I got my boarding passes and security downstairs was pretty fast. I didn't have to wait long for my flight but then I noticed my boarding pass didn't have an arranged seat number for me, just these three letters. I went on the plane wondering where it was with these three letters and of course, it doesn't exist. So I had to go back and get it from the lady at the gate. She threw my REAL boarding pass into the garbage after I checked in, thinking I had my assigned seat! She gave me the real one from the garbage and I sat in 04C, the aisle seat. It was a small carrier with under 20 rows of seats. The flight left just after its departure at 6:10pm. It was short but pleasant and I didn't do anything but listen to music though I snapped a nice picture of the clouds. I arrived in Toronto before 9pm EST, did the long walk to customs and found it was the similar system I had to do when I came home from
Vegas in 2013. You do the terminal, get your customs receipt, pick up your baggage, and then exit after giving it to the customs officer. My overall declaration to customs was about $466.87 Canadian, still well under the maximum exemption so no duty needed to be paid. Instead of exiting, I had to re-drop off my luggage quickly and go through Canadian security screening. Thankfully, it was little faster than the American one hours previous. Toronto Pearson International Airport was huge but I found Gate D24 after some bad turns. I didn't have as much time as I thought due to waiting for my luggage. I wanted to get something to eat but a lot of places were crowded so I got bag of Snyder's pretzels and a blue PowerAde drink to take with me on the plane. Unlike last time, I had an assigned seat. The plane was an Airbus A320 and it was probably the best plane I ever been on (and for Air Canada that's a damn good compliment from me!). I was in 21B with two woman on my sides. We left on time but I noticed after takeoff, that the middle row of seats was only occupied by one person while our row of three had all three of us together! WTF Air Canada? Once we reached cruising altitude, the woman on my right moved to the middle row, freeing me to take her seat. Smart lady! It made the rest of the trip more comfortable. I had water to drink throughout the flight and the crew was good in making sure we were hydrated. I spent a couple hours working on my entry here, catching up a lot. The last thing I did was watch last year's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie and it ended just a mere few minutes before the plane landed in Vancouver. We ended up landing 40 minutes early! I called Peter and he was already on his way to the airport. It was quite a wait for my luggage and during the wait, we hear an excited woman's scream. We turn around and see a young man on his knee, proposing to his girlfriend to marry him. We thought it was cute and after she said yes, we applauded the couple. I got my luggage before 1am and Peter was waiting around where the taxis were. We made no stop anywhere else and he got me home quickly as the streets were relatively empty all the way to Port Coquitlam. It turns out I missed a thunderstorm that night as it wasn't raining but the streets were wet. I got home after 1:30am though David and Agustin were long asleep in bed. I spent the rest of the night unpacking, transferring files and pictures, texting both of my Leatherdaddies back in the Midwest that I made it home safely, etc. I didn't go to bed until 5:30am and wouldn't arise until 12:30pm in the daytime.
For my first time in the Midwest United States, I had a relatively good time. It was nice to fulfill a promise I made for years to visit a couple of Leatherdaddies. I was grateful that things fell into place and it wasn't a financial burden in the end. I'm also grateful for the hospitality and running around that my Daddies did for me.
I don't know when I'll be back in that section of the US, but it'll likely be different. I still have a long-overdue visit to a bear couple in Wisconsin and perhaps a Leatherbear in Indiana. This August I plan a visit to Austin, Texas to visit Daddy Eric for his birthday.
