More Cultural Misappropriation
So, some more stories from the inner workings of BCC's History 13 class; World History taught by the ever racist Carol Lukowski.
Today we not only offended women, but we also offended Muslims simultaneously! Yaaay! (sarcasm)
She jumped into the class room all "Boo!" wearing a hijab and it made me gasp on the inside. No one seemed phased. The whole class has a "they" mentality when speaking about other people. No one is sensetive to this cultural misappropriation! It boggles my mind in so many ways. I am not asking for exact PC-ness, if she was going to explain the scarf in perhaps a more respectful way, like...
"This is how the women wear the scarves, you can see there is velcro so it can go behind your head like this, and you then wear the top veil like so."
Not like "BOO OMG LYK I R MUSLIM!"
Please, God, let there be some justice in the world.
