Yeah, it's been a while

I've been busy. I'm working harder than I've ever had to (which I expected, but still... goddamn). PChem is dominating my life to a good extent, but Instrumental Analysis is faaaaaar more work than it should be. My poetry and religion courses are kindataking a backseat, but I'm rocking the religion course pretty effectively. The poetry course is very hit or miss for me, especially after I managed to get pigeonholed as the eroticism guy during the Baudelaire unit.

Choir is much better this year. Much more relaxed, much less intense music. (For reference, this year we're doing two concerts. This semester's is in late November and is the Bach Magnificat and Poulenc's Gloria. Last year, we had three concerts: The Messiah, a couple of pieces by Brahm's, and Elijah. We were not nearly ready for Elijah, mostly because we had to do the Brahm's pieces, which were hard enough on their own.)

I'm also hitting the whole indy theater thing again, what with my inability to follow any regular and coherent schedule for the department sponsored productions (see: workload) and my growing distaste with theater department politics post-Ms. Mack. We're doing a bunch of David Ives scenes; I'm in  ''Sure Thing" and "The Universal Language," which are probably the two most line intensive scenes we've got. Thank God I'm not gong anywhere for Fall Break and can catch up on work, reading, and lines.

There's also kinda a girl. I don't exactly know what the deal is, but whatever it is, it seems to be working fairly decently. Which I guess is pretty par for course for me.
