The truth about my journaling.

Dec 14, 2009 13:49

I journal every day, on paper. It's all ms-stuff: angst, decisions, notes, ideas, et cetera. But I figure those posts would be boring, spoilery, or just plain inappropriate, so I keep 'em to myself.

But I am working like crazy. See my Twitter.

I will say this: at the end of the recent draft, I think I posted that I felt like I had two books within one manuscript. I'm at 120k, which is far too large, so I've made cuts. And all the cuts that are being made are cuts for a different book. So as I'm editing (and I am, for reals, and it's getting close to being done!), I'm wondering what to do with the excess. It's stuff other readers loved, but the way it stands, it seems to kill the pacing.

So....I don't know what'll happen to these many words. I guess we'll see?

Also, my stomach hurts because cynthiamary and I laughed wayyyy to much at the Doorbell sketch on SNL.
