Words have nothing to do with writing. Nevermind the old saying that a good writer has a way with words. They don't, that's bullshit. What a good writer has is friends in all the right places, experiences to draw "inspiration" from so long as there's no visible copyright. A good writer has a computer, preferably a laptop. It's a dell and it's black, sleek and small. They use firefox and would never dream of Internet Explorer. Microsoft Office 2003 is their most frequently used program, closely followed by AIM and MSN Messenger which are tied only because each are used simultaneously when logging on and off. A good writer does not even have the capability to write, but instead, the uncanny talent of making people believe whatever it is they say. Good writers do not exist. They are created by poor readers, people who are very willing to say that they could never write like that, that they wouldn't know where to begin, people who would use the term "good writer." If you took the thoughts flowing from your head and put them on paper, didn't think about it, about format or structure, plot or theme, you to0 could have "a way with words." People would exclaim about your "natural ability."
Writers good or bad are little more than oversensitive thinkers. We cry at the end of movies with happy endings because we know that they could never be. We think about dialogue when there is silence and wish for silence when there is dialogue. Writers are not creative, they are indecisive. That flow of ideas, that constant stream of thought is little more than our own inability to decide. Each new line, new story or plot is all part of the original that they can never seem to decide on. Writers are pompous in daring to give themselves the title of writer. Writers will forever try to capture moments with words until at the age of 83, seconds before death, they will realize that they have wasted their lives capturing moments for others and have let their own slip away. Their last breath will be a sigh as they suddenly realize that they forgot to record that thought.
Once in a while a writer will actually write something worth reading. It will be profound and truly beautiful, unique because it is honest and memorable because it is real. This something worth reading that the writer has written will truly earn them the title of a "good writer." Unfortunately the writer, being indecisive, will decide that they aren't sure and then change it.
