I'll say!

"I think part of the way you learn to get to know someone is through the music they love."
raigan's on to something, so i'm following suit. all these songs make me smile. that's a good enough qualification i think.

1. Jungle Book "The Bear Necessities"... who can be stressed when they hear baloo belt out "if you're acting like those bees over there, you're working too hard..."?
2. My Humps--Black Eyed Peas... uuhh... i like it because of the articles.
3. California (OC soundtrack)--Phantom Planet... because if you hate something with enough of your soul, eventually you begin to like weird pieces of it.
4. Beautiful Day--U2... if you could crack my heart open like a coconut and dump it out, the lyrics and music for "Beautiful Day" would come out.
5. Back When--Tim Mcgraw... tell it like it is, you hic mcgraw! why isn't all music like this.
6. So Happy Together--The Turtles... is what people feel verbatum during a crush and the first 10 minutes of a relationship where you are oblivious to any minute flaw in your hunk of a significant other.
7. She's in Love With the Boy--Trisha Yearwood... what an abusive song. when it comes to brains i got the short end of the stick? i ain't worth a lick? i need therapy after listening to this song
8. FFVII Boss Battle Theme... my old roommate made me appreciate the majesty of this video game music. i listen to this before i run and play halo2 with colin, and when i want to accept my stature as a huge loser.
9. Reason to Believe--Rod Stewart... i believe in anyone who can kick a soccer ball like that.
10. Babylon--David Grey... me and eric used to listen to that before bed, freshman year of college, and i can remember letting go of my stress aa david grey picks at the guitar in the first few measures.
11. Small Town--John Mellencamp... everyone's had their life wrapped around their small towns, and this reminds me of when i said goodbye.
12. Canon in D major--Pachabel... this song sounds like yellow and happy. i can feel the sun melting over me when i hear this chord progression. from the first time i played it on the piano in middle school, to me listening to it now when i run, it just has something about it that makes my body disappear.
13. All That Jazz--Chicago Soundtrack... if you have a pulse, you can't resist making an idiot out of yourself during this song... at first i wondered what sarah's problem is, now i wonder what mine was.
14. I Touch Myself--the Divinyls... mrs. jahn, rob, lindsay, katie, michelle, and sarah gave me the love/awkward uncomfortableness i have for this song.
15. Black or White--Michael Jackson... apparently this song isn't about people wondering if he is african american or caucasian. yeah right. but with smooth sounding peace and love like this, racism doesn't stand a chance.
16. Once Upon a Time in NY City--Oliver&Company Soundtrack... don't give up tom, and don't give up world. it's always once upon a time. and plus in the movie, oliver is a loaf of bread on a truck tire at the end of the song.
17. Good Company--Oliver&Company Soundtrack... this is the most pure song about innocently loving another person without expecting anything in return, and is the closest you will get to it without living it.
18. Wishin' and Hopin'--Dusty Springfield... with gems like this, why do we need sexism or wage disparities between men and women? just listen and scoff at the outrageous hilarity of this testament to women as possessions in our not-so-distant past.
19. This Kiss--Faith Hill... i've been asked so many times IF I'D RATHER... join john trucksis in the holy bond of matrimony.... OR kiss john trucksis with the windows open while the rain comes pouring inside, or some other crazy question, and it makes me laugh so much. thank you faith hill!
20. Another One Bites the Dust--Queen... Playing ping pong with my dad in the basement, he'd smash a ball right by me, start dancing and singing "and another one's gone, and another one's gone, ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST..." until i'd be lying on the ground dry heaving because i was laughing so hard.

wow that was fun. and i feel like i completed something too. it's just the bear necessities of life, YEAH MAN! now to sleep because i got 2.5 hours of sleep because lindsay and michelle visited last night and we all played disney monopoly until the rooster crowed. i was mogley as i steamrolled to victory.
