Doctor Who: what to watch?
I've been watching Doctor Who episodes with LearnedThumb for the last several months. We started off with the first Doctor, episode 1, and have watched each available episode (skipping over the ones with recreations, because LT doesn't like those). Things are beginning to drag a little for me, though, and I think for LT, too. The quality of the early episodes is pretty variable.
So, I decided I should find an episode guide or something, letting us know which episodes to watch and which ones to skip. I thought that someone would have a Doctor Who University or something out there, with the equivalent of required reading, recommended reading, and optional reading. Strangely, I can't find anything like that.
So, erstwhile f-list, I turn to you. Do any of you know of a list of recommended viewing for the original Doctor Who series? If not, do any of you have suggestions for which episodes to watch (and which ones to avoid)?
