Góðan daginn everyone! :D Fyrirgefðu for posting twice in a row, but I found a cool thing and I have a burning question XD

Tveir: Has anyone done the "learn a basic vocabulary and then learn the rest" sort of thing? While looking into the process of learning languages, I found this list, for people who are learning English as a second language, of the 2,284 most commonly used words. http://jbauman.com/gsl.html It's out of date (shilling, really?) and doesn't have any technical terms (computer, battery, etc.), but I think that it could be pretty useful if someone wanted to know what vocabulary words would come in handy in order to progress towards conversational fluency in Icelandic. What do you think?
